YOGA FOR GOLFERS WORKSHOPS

Are you experiencing frustration with your golf swing because your hips and upper back are tight and your core seems weak? The power of yoga can shift your golf game experience from pain and frustration to one of ease and enjoyment!

Join Kari Swenson MS, RYT-500 as she leads you through a 2 hour workshop that will include breathing exercises, key yoga poses, and awareness exercises to increase mobility and stability in the three key areas to your golf swing:
• The Hips/Glutes
• The Core/Pelvis
• The Scapula (shoulder blades)/Upper Back

LEARN TO SWIM LIKE A PRO

It’s time to kick start your swimming this summer with a skills clinic from 2004 Olympic Triathlete and former Stanford swimmer Barb Lindquist. If you’ve ever wanted to make swimming easier by being more efficient with technique and also understand how body position, arm pull, and kick all relate, this is the clinic for you! Barb will start the clinic with a lecture on technique, then you will move to the pool for a progression of drills which build off of each other. You’ll leave the clinic armed with practical items to work on in your stroke, making your own swimming more purposeful and fun this summer.

All levels of swimmers can benefit, from recreational to competitive.

ADULT LESSONS || Barb also gives 1:1 adult lessons for $100/hour if you are unable to attend this clinic.

TPI Clinics
HELD ON THE FOLLOWING FRIDAYS                        4pm – 6pm

2 hour TPI Clinics will be held once a month, May through August, by Ali Moseley! Ali is a Certified Golf Fitness Expert through Titleist Performance Institute. She will be able to identify any physical restrictions that may be limiting your swing and offer simple techniques to improve these limitations.

These clinics offer a fantastic opportunity to learn how to maximize the efficiency and power of your golf swing. The focus of the clinic will be to help improve the following:
POWER || The program identifies physical limitations and offers exercises to improve range of motion and strength.
CONSISTENCY || Assessing the swing characteristics that create physical limitations will assist with the ability to repeat proper mechanics of the golf swing
LONGEVITY || Many people struggle to play two or three days in a row because of pain or soreness. Improving swing characteristics and utilizing proper warm ups can prevent injuries and help with conditioning.

During the Clinic, you will receive the following:
1. Learn the purpose of TPI and Body-Swing Connection
2. Receive a Physical Screening: Identify physical limitations
3. Learn exercises to improve swing characteristics and reduce limitations
4. Learn a useful warm up routine to use before each round or practice

RUNNING …
you’ve been doing it since you were a kid, but have you ever been taught how to run efficiently? Running efficiently not only makes running more fun, but also makes it less stressful, reducing the chances of injury. Join Olympian Barb Lindquist for a RUNNING TECHNIQUE CLINIC as she breaks down the run into body position, arm motion, and foot strike. You’ll learn range of motion dynamic mobility drills to warm up the body, experience how your arms affect your legs, and learn how cadence helps you use gravity towards your advantage.

ABOUT BARB LINDQUIST
Barb Lindquist, Alta resident and Huntsman Springs member, grew up in Casper as a swimmer, making it all the way to Olympic Trials finalist and Pan Am Games medal winner. She transitioned to triathlon after graduation and raced professionally for 10 years, including being World #1 and representing the USA on the 2004 Olympic Team. Barb currently coaches triathletes while sharing the love of sport with her 11-year-old twin boys. But don’t be intimidated by all those accolades; she’s a parent fitting in sport just like many of you! She has a passion for teaching efficiency to all levels, but especially to adults who are thinkers and can appreciate the “why.”
